He has provided talent acquisition support to his clients in the areas of recruitment and sourcing strategy, and has built and managed several successful recruiting teams.

Throughout his professional career, with an expertise in recruitment strategy planning, Jeff has developed a strong track record of quickly assessing client needs, and is adept in providing solutions specifically tailored to these needs. Before founding The Adkins Group in 2000, Jeff was a Senior Partner of an Austin, Texas-based, nationwide executive search firm, and, before that, was a top-performing Executive Search Consultant at a technology-focused search firm, also based in Austin.

Jeff earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, and a Masters Certificate in Human Resource Management from St. Edward's University. He is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Austin Technology Council, and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). He has been a regular speaker on the subject of talent acquisition/management, and when time allows, provides career management/job hunt strategy advice to professionals in need.


Stephanie Foust

Stephanie Foust is a Principal Executive Search Consultant and Lead Recruiting Project Manager with The Adkins Group, Inc., an executive search and recruitment services company located in Austin, Texas. Her experience has spanned across functions including but not limited to human resources, marketing, compensation and benefits, nursing, quality, engineering, logistics, operations, accounting / finance, and product development.

Stephanie joined The Adkins Group in 2005 and has since completed numerous searches at the executive, middle management, and individual contributor level. In addition, part of Stephanie's practice is managing non-traditional search projects. Whether as simple as managing clients' job board postings or as complex as managing an entire outsourced recruitment effort, Stephanie integrates seamlessly with clients' existing recruitment efforts. Every client's recruitment needs are different and there is not always a single solution to individual clients' staffing challenges. Stephanie is flexible and can adapt to fit individual clients' needs creating a custom solution that fits each client's situation like a glove.

Stephanie earned her BBA in Marketing from Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas. While in college, she was a member of numerous honor societies, including Golden Key Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma (National Business Honor Society), Alpha Mu Alpha, and Alpha Chi. She was also a participant in the American Marketing Association and an active member in Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). Kal Luben

As a senior technology consultant and executive recruiter, Mr. Luben brings over fourteen years of diverse staffing experience to his clients. Mr. Luben started his career with his father, Bob Luben, and Luben Group International, Inc. (LGI), a leading executive recruitment firm in the 1990s. He has served as a staffing manager for an Austin startup, as operations lead for LGI upon his father's passing, as a corporate recruiting lead, and as an executive recruiter for a national recruitment firm. After working on both sides of the "fence," Mr. Luben has developed an innate ability to deliver what his clients need. With deep networks in semiconductor, hardware and various related technologies, Mr. Luben always seems to find the "perfect" candidate.

Nick Ravines

Nick Ravines is a Talent Consultant with the Adkins Group. He brings over 14 years of recruiting and human resources experience focused on high tech industries. Nick's experience working in early stage technology growth companies as well as established global enterprise technology organizations has provided him with the perspective and hands on experience required to solve the various recruiting challenges of companies at different stages of maturity by deploying the appropriate recruiting methodologies.

Nick is a strategic and hands on tactical recruiting expert who has partnered closely with executives and hiring managers to develop and implement very specific recruiting initiatives aimed and delivering concise recruiting messages to predetermined target audiences. Nick has successfully recruited difficult individual contributor technical roles as well as executive level business roles in the following industries: software development tools, enterprise IT applications, price optimization/price management software, CRM, web analytics and e-Commerce.

Prior to joining the Adkins Group, Nick held corporate recruiting and human resource management positions for companies such as Motorola, BMC Software and SolarWinds. Nick was the Director of Human Resources for SolarWinds where he established the companies HR department in their new Austin, TX headquarters. Nick worked with executive management to drive recruiting initiatives which resulted in the company growing from under 25 employees to over 250 worldwide in a two year period. While at BMC Software, Nick was the Global Staffing Manager for BMC's corporate headquarters in Houston, TX where he managed a staffing team and was heavily involved in Executive Recruiting. Nicks experience at Motorola saw him function as an HR generalist and Staffing Manager for various business groups in Austin, TX and Atlanta, Georgia. Nick was responsible for managing global recruiting programs and staff and providing management with the metrics necessary to make informed decisions about staffing affectivity and strategy.

Nick earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science Degree from the University of North Texas.



Buck Byrum

Buck Byrum is a Principal Executive Search Consultant with the Adkins Group, leveraging over 18 years of experience in sales, business development, and human resources. Prior to joining the Adkins Group, Buck spent 10 years in the Electronic Design Automation industry as both a Corporate Recruiter and a Global Staffing Manager. He has built international recruitment teams, designed and implemented workforce planning programs, and advised executive leadership on scalable talent management solutions. In addition, he has held program management responsibilities in the areas of Employment Branding, HRIS, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Buck began his recruiting career in the staffing agency business working for one of the fastest growing, private staffing & consulting services companies in the nation. He held leadership positions in both sales and recruiting while developing a client base centered around HW/SW Engineering, Telecommunications, Biotechnology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, and Enterprise IT. Combining both recruitment agency and HR leadership backgrounds has allowed Buck unique insights into the real challenges facing companies today. He prides himself on being able to translate those insights into workable human capital solutions for clients ranging from start-ups to large publicly-traded corporations.

Buck earned a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of The Human Capital Institute and frequently involves himself in Corporate Executive Board's national Recruiting Roundtable. He is an active volunteer in the health care industry and passionate about non-profit activities that represent good corporate citizenship.
